This is a link to the mini projects I created for my Multimedia\Hypermedia class.  The mini projects were ideas I would later use for my final website.  They included using Photoshop to edit photos, Audacity to create audio files,  MovieMaker to make video files, hand coding HTML webpages, debugging my wesite using a validation program on-line, and using Kompozer to develop my final website.

By clicking on the website above, you will be taken to the website that I created for my Multimedia\Hypermedia class.

For my Web Based Learning Systems class, my partner and I created a website for 5th grade social studies students to use. This website was designed to help students understand the regions of South America.  It incorporated the Ohio Fifth Grade Social Studies theme of: "Regions and Peoples of the Western Hemisphere" as well as several different content statements for students to learn.

This document was created for the website in the Web Based Learning Systems class.  The purpose of this Design Document is to analyze the potential effectiveness of using a WBLS to address gaps in student achievement in the Ohio Fifth Grade Social Studies theme of: "Regions and Peoples of the Western Hemisphere." Grade five students have Social Studies academic content standards in four strands: History, Geography, Government, and Economics. Our analysis and design document for a WBLS will focus on standards in History and Geography.

Class Dojo

Class Dojo is a behavioral management tool that I have been using in my classroom for three years.  It can be used to reward points for positve behavior, subtract points for negative behavior, or a combination of both.  I reward the students based on the number of points they have received.  I also allow my students to track their own progress as well as giving the parents the ability to monitor their child's behavior from home once they sign up.  It is also a great way for me to communcate with the parents about what is happening in the classroom.

Remind

In October of 2015, I began using Remind for the first time.  Remind is a great tool for me to update the parents of my students about events that are happening in our school and in my classroom.  I can use it to send out group text messages to any parent that signs up which will alert them about events like book fairs, music programs, project deadlines, and assessment dates.  I have been encouraged so far from the support of the parents and look forward to implementing this more in my classroom.

During the Emerging Technology class, myself and a partner needed identify a new emerging technology in education that is able to support learning for today's students.  Once the emerging technology was identified, my partner and I had to use a Web 2.0 tool to share it with the rest of the class.  We decided to share our emerging technology by creating a video and posting it to YouTube. The video link above represents the entire project that I

completed with a partner.  The YouTube video below is my portion of the project.
