For this project I assessed and evaluated the 2012 - 2015 Educational Technology Plan that was written for the Sheffield\Sheffield Lake City School District. After my critique of the plan, I provided several suggestions for improvement.
For this project I wrote a grant using the application from the SheffieldÂ\Sheffield Lake City School district which is where I work. In the grant I proposed a plan to receive funding for some Kindle Fire HD tablets and the Immersion Reading program to help students improve their reading skills.
Grant Approval for Kindles
I have recently found out that I have been awarded the Grant that I wrote for the 614 Planning for Technology course. I have been awarded 6 Kindles and the Whispersync software. This will allow the students to listen to an audiobook and follow along with the text on their Kindle.

1:1 Initiative
I was chosen to be part of the 1:1 initiative for my school district. I was given a class set of netbooks to use in my classroom for only my students. I had to report to my technology coordinator about how and how much I was using them in my classroom and how the students were benefiting from having their own computer.
The pdf below is a copy of the e-mail from the technology coordinator to the fourth grade staff. It discusses the district's plan to implement Chromebooks for each grade level.
